A Step Ahead!!!!!


I have eaten too much, too many parties and socialization, I don’t like exercise and I am not

able to control weight. Let me just eat fruits and vegetables for sometime so there is a quick weight loss. My friend’s wedding is there next month. I have to look thin.

Phew!!!!!!This is what I get to hear. Guys wake up. What’s wrong with you? It’s like giving step motherly treatment to your body.

Once I had read somewhere- ‘Take care of your body, it’s the only place you will live’. This is so true. Why are you doing this to your body? It’s your greatest asset.

Typically what happens is, when we start with a crash diet, body becomes devoid of many nutrients. We experience lack of energy, hair fall, knee pain, mood swings and the list goes on. This is accompanied by food cravings and finally we give up to those cravings, feel guilty and aging start with those extreme diets or after some time will say diet is not my cup of tea. You will go back to your previous lifestyle and the process of weight gain will continue.

Please stop doing these things. Just because one of your friends did it and lost weight doesn’t mean that it is right. Within few months she will gain it back. In most of these cases it is more of water loss and muscle loss. We need to focus on fat loss.

So now what……

Healthy eating and exercise are the ways in which you will be able to lose fat, gain energy and peace of mind. The sooner you start with it, will help you enjoy a better life. It might be difficult to make changes overnight. Start step by step. But keep up the determination.
